Role Overview:

As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the

organic performance of our e-commerce website. Your primary goal will be to improve search

engine rankings, drive targeted traffic, and maximize conversions for both our main site and Shopify

platform. You will work closely with the marketing and development teams to implement SEO best

practices that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

 SEO Strategy Development:

o Develop and implement SEO strategies for our e-commerce website (12,000

products) and Shopify platform.

o Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities and optimize content.

o Focus on on-page SEO, including title tags, meta descriptions, URL structure, header

tags, and image optimization.

o Perform technical SEO audits and work with the development team to fix issues such

as broken links, page speed, and mobile optimization.

 Product Page Optimization:

o Optimize individual product pages for both search engines and user experience.

o Create effective and engaging product descriptions, title tags, and meta descriptions

to drive traffic and conversions.

o Work on optimizing product categories and ensure each page is optimized for

specific keywords.

 Content Strategy:

o Create and execute a content strategy to drive organic traffic to the site.

o Develop blog posts, landing pages, and other content that aligns with user intent

and increases rankings.

o Work with the content team to ensure all content is optimized for SEO and aligns

with the overall marketing strategy.

 Link Building & Outreach:

o Build and manage an effective link-building strategy to increase domain authority.

o Reach out to relevant industry websites, bloggers, and influencers for backlink

opportunities.

o Monitor and analyze backlinks for quality and disavow toxic links when necessary.

 SEO Analytics & Reporting:

o Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google

Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.

o Create and deliver regular reports on organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions,

and overall SEO performance.

o Track KPIs and make data-driven decisions to improve SEO strategies.

 Continuous Learning & Industry Trends:

o Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to

ensure continued optimization and growth.

o Participate in webinars, SEO forums, and other learning opportunities to sharpen

skills.

Qualifications:

 2-3 years of proven experience in SEO, preferably with experience managing SEO for e-

commerce websites.

 Strong knowledge of Shopify and e-commerce SEO best practices.

 Understanding of technical SEO (site structure, mobile optimization, page speed,

crawlability).

 Knowledge of backlink strategies and the importance of link-building.

Preferred Skills:

 Familiarity with tools like Screaming Frog, Google Tag Manager, or Google Data Studio.

 Knowledge of paid advertising strategies and how they intersect with organic traffic.
